IP Address Determination

The

PN9108’s default setting is t

o obtain its IP address automatically from a

DHCP server

. When the PN9108 starts, it waits to get an address from a DHCP

server. If, after one minute, it fails to obtain an address from the DHCP server,

it reverts to its default IP address of 192.168.0.60.

If you are an administrator and need to determine the PN9108’s IP address, or

want to assign it one, there are three methods to choose from. In each case, your

computer must be on the same network segment as the PN9108.

Method 1:

For computers running Windows, an IP address can be determined and/or

assigned with the IP Installer utility:

1. Open the IPInstaller directory on the Software CD that came with your

PN9108 package and run IPInstaller.exe. A dialog box similar to the one

below appears:

2. Select the PN9108 in the Device List.

Note: 1. If the list is empty, or your device doesn't appear, click

Enumerate to refresh the Device List.

2. If there is more than one device in the list, use the MAC address

to pick the one you want. The PN9108's MAC address is located

on its bottom panel.
