Note: The CS1764A does not have a dedicated firmware upgrade port because

it uses a USB port in the KVM port section for firmware upgrading. See

Before you Begin (CS1764A), page 30, for full details.

1 Firmware

Upgrade Port

(CS1762 only) The Firmware Upgrade Cable that transfers the

firmware upgrade data from the administrator’s computer plugs into

this connector. See Before you Begin (CS1762), page 29, for details.

2 USB / USB

2.0 Hub

USB peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.) can plug into this port. The

CS1762 supports USB 1.1; the CS1764

A supports USB 2.0.

3 Console Port

Section

The cables from your DVI monitor, USB keyboard, USB mouse,

speakers, and microphone plug in here. Each connector is marked

with an appropriate icon to indicate itself.

4 KVM Port

Section

The cables that link the switch to your computers plug in here. Each

KVM port section is comprised of a microphone jack, speaker jack,

USB type B socket and a DVI connector.

5 Power Jack The power adapter cable plugs into this jack.
