Chapter 1. Introduction

Optional Capability

With the purchase of an optional PA0140 OOBC Module that plugs into

the RS-232 port, the PN9108U can provide the following:

 Out of Band Connectivity – OOB power on/off/reboot control of the

computers attached to the PN9108U:

 Local control via a direct terminal link from the PN9108U's RS-232

port to the computer's RS-232 port

 Remote control via an external modem for either a console terminal

connection, or for an ISP internet connection.

 Three configuration management methods: Browser, Telnet, or Console

Terminal.
